Nashik Metropolitan Region Authority (NMRDA) is the Planning and Development Authority for the Nashik Metropolitan Region with an outlook towards channelizing growth in a strategic and orderly manner. Nashik City has developed as one of the prominent urban agglomerates. It is reckoned as Pilgrimage & Heritage City, also educational center providing skilled manpower & talent to several industries / sectors. Also renowned as wine capital of India and tourist attraction transcending the boundaries of the states and the country, it has rapidly growth into contemporary industrial hub and is identified today as a growing metropolis with tremendous potential. This evaluation has positioned positioned Nashik Region as a major growth center and an attractive attractive investment investment destination destination.

The region enjoys a magnetic pull for tourism around the globe. The promise of win-win for the investors as well as the region is undeniable. The region is gifted with salubrious climate, abundance of natural resources, rich cultural heritage and most importantly, proximity to India’s financial capital – Mumbai. These critical factors provide impetus for growth of new businesses & expansion of existing ones. Nashik is a part of golden triangle ( Mumbai-Pune-Nashik ) where pace of socio economic development is very high.

NMRDA has been set up as a legally empowered and a self-financing corporate body by the Urban Development Department of the Government of Maharashtra vide Notification No. TPS-1117/212/pra.kra.100/Navi-9, dtd. 12.01.2018. The greatest advantage of NMRDA is that most of its area falls under Greenfield development.
